Spouse, parents, grandparents, children, grandchildren & all siblings — with Hajb (blocking), Aul & Radd.
Read first: This advanced tool models the mainstream (Hanafi) rules for the great majority of cases, including blocking, Aul and Radd. A few rare scenarios still need a scholar — see Known limitations below. It is an estimate, not a fatwa: confirm the final distribution with a qualified Mufti or inheritance lawyer.
Disclaimer: Estimate for educational use — not a fatwa or legal ruling. Confirm with a qualified Islamic scholar (Mufti) or inheritance lawyer. See our inheritance guide.
How the advanced calculator works
This tool applies the fixed Quranic shares (faraid), then assigns the remaining estate to the residuary (asaba) heirs, and finally adjusts with Aul (when fixed shares exceed the estate) or Radd (when there is a surplus and no residuary). It also applies Hajb — the rules by which nearer heirs block more distant ones (for example, a son blocks grandchildren and siblings; the father blocks siblings and the grandfather).
Known limitations (consult a scholar)
Grandfather with siblings: the muqasama rules differ between schools — handled simply here.
Akdariyya (husband + mother + grandfather + one full sister) and Mushtaraka are special cases not separately modelled.
Grandmothers: paternal vs maternal distinctions and their blocking are simplified to a shared 1/6.
Non-Muslim heirs, missing persons, and pregnancy shares are not handled.
