PDF Text Extractor

Read embedded PDF text in page order, then review, edit, copy or save it as a UTF-8 .txt file.

Embedded text extraction, not OCR

Page separators and PDF.js line endings help preserve basic reading structure. Complex columns, tables and visual layout can still differ.

Quick answer: This tool extracts embedded PDF text; it does not recognise words inside scanned images. Page order is retained, but columns, tables, spacing and reading order may need editing.

About This Tool

This tool reads the text layer already stored in an unencrypted PDF. It labels each page and uses available PDF.js line-ending signals, but visual columns, tables, headers and reading order may not reproduce exactly. For image-only scans, use an OCR workflow. File parsing happens in client-side code; the page can still load ordinary site assets, analytics and third-party libraries.

How to Use

  1. Upload your PDF.
  2. Wait for the text to appear.
  3. Copy it or download a .txt file.
  4. Paste it wherever you need.
