How Do I Count Words and Characters?
Counting takes three steps:
- Add your text. Type or paste into Your Text. Every count updates as you go.
- Set a limit. Enter a Word limit or Character limit to see how much room is left.
- Review and copy. Check Top Words for repeats, then tap Copy text.
How Does the Counter Count?
What each number includes:

| Characters | Letters, numbers, spaces and line breaks; an emoji counts as one |
| Sentences | End at . ! or ?; common abbreviations like "Dr." are skipped |

| Speaking time | 183 words per minute, the same study's read-aloud rate |
